Kupwara, May 17 (JKNS): A 19-year-old youth drowned while bathing in a pond in Kandi Khass area of Kupwara district on Sunday, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Asrarul Haq, aged 19 years, resident of Kandi Khass Kupwara.
Officials said the youth drowned while bathing in the pond, resulting in his death. The body was later retrieved from the water.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
