Reasi, May 17 (JKNS): A dumper driver lost his life after the vehicle he was driving met with an accident at Salal Kotli on the Reasi-Arnas road on Sunday, officials said.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS that a dumper bearing registration number JK20A-6021 met with an accident under circumstances being ascertained.
They said the driver, identified as Mohammad Alam, son of Noor Illahi, a resident of Anji Kayala in Reasi district, sustained critical injuries in the incident.
The injured driver was shifted to District Hospital Reasi, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
After completion of medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the legal heirs for last rites.
Meanwhile, cognizance of the incident have been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
