Sopore, May 19 (JKNS): Continuing its intensified crackdown on narcotics trafficking under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, Sopore Police has obtained court orders under Section 52A of the NDPS Act for the disposal and auction of five conveyances seized in various NDPS cases registered across Police District Sopore.

Police said the seized vehicles were allegedly used for transportation and commission of offences related to narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.

After completion of the required legal formalities, the competent court passed orders for disposal of the seized conveyances through auction in accordance with the provisions of law.

Officials said the action is part of Sopore Police’s broader strategy to dismantle the narcotics network by targeting not only drug peddlers but also the financial and logistical infrastructure supporting drug trafficking activities.

Sopore Police reiterated its commitment to continue strict action against narcotics networks and stated that all assets and conveyances used in drug-related offences would be dealt with as per law.

Police also reaffirmed their resolve towards achieving the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan and building a safer and drug-free society. (JKNS)
