As per news agency JKNS, Pulwama Police, in coordination with the Agriculture department official (Fertilizer Inspector), has registered a case under the Essential Commodities Act against an individual for unauthorized storage of fertiliser in the district.

During checking and verification at Parigam, a huge quantity of urea fertiliser was found stored inside a godown. During enquiry, the owner of the fertiliser was identified as Fayaz Ahmad Magray S/o Gh. Qadir Magray R/o Kaisermullah Chadoora. Upon verification, the owner failed to produce any valid licence or authorised documents regarding the storage and possession of the fertiliser.

Acting on the matter, FIR No. 93/2026 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pulwama. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
