Anantnag, May 31 (JKNS): A man is feared to have drowned in the Lidder River after reportedly saving his two sons from drowning near Langanbal area of Pahalgam in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Sunday, officials said.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS stated that all three had fallen into the river under circumstances that are being ascertained.
Rescue teams, with the assistance of locals, launched an operation immediately after the incident and successfully rescued both boys from the river.
However, the father could not be traced and remained missing till the filing of this report, officials said.
A massive search operation is underway in the area to locate the missing man, while further details are awaited. (JKNS)
