Srinagar, Jun 1 (JKNS): In a significant public outreach initiative against substance abuse, Srinagar Police on Monday conducted a large-scale drug awareness rally through the heart of the city under the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, drawing participation from students, traders, shopkeepers and civil society members in a united call for a drug-free society.

As pwr news agency JKNS, Police today organized a Drug Awareness Rally under the 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan and the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.

The rally commenced from Police Station Maisuma and passed through Ghanta Ghar, Lal Chowk, culminating at Pratap Park. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Gowsia Middle School Maisuma, members of the Traders Association Lal Chowk, local shopkeepers, and respectable residents of the area.

The rally was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Kothibagh and aimed at sensitizing the public, particularly the youth, about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of collective action in building a drug-free society.

Participants carried placards and raised slogans highlighting the dangers of narcotics and encouraging people to stay away from drugs. The programme underscored the commitment of Srinagar Police towards community engagement and preventive awareness as key pillars in the fight against drug abuse.

Srinagar Police remains steadfast in its resolve to combat the drug menace through enforcement, awareness, and public participation, and urges citizens to join hands in making Jammu & Kashmir drug-free. “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.” (JKNS)
