Kupwara, June 3 (JKNS): In a commendable display of dedication and public service, Police Station Keran successfully rescued nine stranded passengers, including two children, during the early hours of the morning after receiving an emergency SOS call.

At approximately 01:30 AM, Police Station Keran received a distress call from an unknown caller reporting that his vehicle had developed a mechanical fault and broken down near the Patroo area of Keran.

Acting promptly on the information, a police team led by PSI Musaib Ayoub immediately proceeded towards the location despite the challenging night conditions.

The police party reached the spot at around 02:00 AM and found nine passengers stranded in the remote area.

Demonstrating courage, professionalism, and commitment to public safety, the team successfully rescued all the passengers and shifted them to a safe location.

The rescue operation was significantly supported by a local civilian, Mr. Ferad Ahmad Khan, who voluntarily provided his personal vehicle to assist in the evacuation, as the police station currently lacks an official vehicle.

This incident once again highlights the unwavering commitment of Keran Police, which remains ready to assist the public at all times, especially during emergencies and difficult situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike. (JKNS)
