Waqf Chairperson says Interfaith Conference said that J&K is rewriting itself through communal harmony & Peace
Srinagar, Jun 4 (JKNS): The Chairperson of Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Thursday while addressing the Interfaith Conference RESHIWAER at SKICC Srinagar said that Sufism is the soul of Kashmir.
In her address Dr Andrabi said that we have come out of the darkest period of our modern history and now while we have established peace in J&K, we have rebuilt the bridges between the communities and we are on the path of erasing all black spots of division and animosity from this society.
“J&K is rewriting itself through communal harmony & Peace. We are seeing a new dawn here. Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims & all other communities have built a bond of mutual love & sharing. We are now enthusiastically and heartily celebrating the interfaith harmony. Such gatherings let people speak, inspire youth, and mark a future they lacked for 35 years”, said Andrabi.
She said that this Reshwaer (the abode of rishis & sufis) is again gaining it’s earlier scintillating status. The ideologies of hate, division and the politics of terror and hate has no place in new Jammu & Kashmir which we see after 2019.
She further added that the youth of the Union territory wants everlasting peace and thinks with the broader vision of inclusivity and harmony. She appealed to the educated youth of the ‘Reshwaer’ to propagate the spirit of love , harmony and coexistence which is the soul of Indian Constitution and the tradition. (JKNS)
