Kishtwar, June 5 (JKNS): The District Administration Kishtwar on Friday suspended both the Shri Machail Mata Yatra 2026 and Shri Mindhal Mata Yatra 2026 for the day in view of adverse weather conditions prevailing across the district.
According to the advisory issued by the district administration, as per news agency JKNS, the decision was taken due to continuous rainfall, slippery road conditions and the risk of shooting stones, which could pose a threat to the safety and well-being of pilgrims.
The administration has advised all pilgrims not to undertake the yatra on June 5 and urged them to remain at their safe locations until further advisories are issued.
The order came into force with immediate effect, while authorities said the situation is being closely monitored and further decisions will be taken depending on weather conditions. (JKNS)
