Srinagar, Jun 14 (JKNS): One person was killed and another injured after a speeding car collided with a Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus near the Lajan Bypass area of Srinagar on Sunday, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that a black Hyundai Verna bearing registration number PB12AK-5464 rammed into an RTC bus from behind near Lajan Bypass this afternoon.
They said the impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the death of one occupant of the car on the spot, while another sustained injuries.
The injured person was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, officials said.
The identities of the deceased and injured person were not immediately known.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation. (JKNS)
