Body of Missing Budgam Man Recovered in Srinagar’s Chinar Bagh Area

Srinagar, Jun 16 (JKNS): The body of a man who had been missing for the past three days was recovered from the Chinar Bagh area near Dalgate in Srinagar on Tuesday, officials said.

An official told news agency JKNS, The deceased has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Sofi (50), son of Ghulam Rasool Sofi, a resident of Wathwara Chadoora in Budgam district.

Officials said the body was found in the Chinar Bagh area, following which police personnel rushed to the spot and completed the necessary legal formalities.

Preliminary information suggests that the deceased had been missing for the last three days. However, the exact circumstances leading to his death were not immediately known.

Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated.
