Srinagar, June 22 (JKNS): A 35-year-old man from the Rainawari area of Srinagar died after suffering an electric shock at his residence on Sunday evening, officials said on Monday.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the deceased, identified as Asif Ahmad Mir (35), son of Fayaz Ahmad Mir and a resident of Rainawari, was shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar in an unconscious and critical condition on Sunday evening after receiving an electric shock at his home.
They said doctors at the hospital immediately provided treatment, however, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings. (JKNS)
