They highlighted the government’s commitment to improving the livelihoods of small vendors through collateral-free loans and other benefits provided under the scheme.
The speakers informed the gathering that the PM SVANidhi Scheme, launched in 2020, was designed to support street vendors through easy access to institutional credit and various welfare benefits. They stated that the Mahotsav was organized to felicitate beneficiaries who have successfully availed themselves of the scheme over the years and to encourage others to take advantage of the opportunities it offers.
They further noted that the initiative of the Hon’ble Prime Minister goes beyond financial assistance and actively promotes financial inclusion, digital literacy, and access to various government welfare services. Several beneficiaries who successfully utilized the scheme to strengthen their businesses and achieve financial self-reliance were felicitated during the programme. Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, stating that the scheme had significantly improved their economic condition and enabled them to expand their businesses and become self-dependent.
The dignitaries also highlighted the encouraging repayment performance under the scheme in the district, stating that the repayment rate stands at approximately 95 to 96 percent. They observed that this remarkable achievement reflects the sincerity, responsibility, and commitment of beneficiaries towards improving their livelihoods and growing their businesses. According to the speakers, the high repayment rate is a strong indicator of the scheme’s success and demonstrates the trust and confidence of beneficiaries in the initiative.
