Srinagar, June 28 (JKNS): Reinforcing its commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to people living in remote regions, PARAS Health Srinagar, in collaboration with The Villa Himalaya, Kullan, successfully organised a Mega Multi-Specialty Health Camp at Sonmarg on June 27.
Held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the camp received an encouraging response from the local community, with nearly 100 patients availing free consultations and preventive health services.
The outreach initiative brought together specialists from four key medical disciplines, enabling residents of the picturesque but geographically challenging region to access expert medical care closer to home. In addition to specialist consultations, beneficiaries received free blood pressure monitoring, Random Blood Sugar (RBS) testing, and personalised health counselling, promoting early diagnosis and preventive healthcare.
The camp formed part of PARAS Health Srinagar’s continued efforts to bridge healthcare gaps by delivering advanced medical services directly to underserved communities across Jammu and Kashmir. By extending specialist healthcare beyond hospital walls, the institution aims to improve health outcomes while reducing the need for patients in remote areas to undertake long and often difficult journeys for medical care.
Hospital officials said the initiative reflects the hospital’s vision of bringing quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare to every doorstep, ensuring that geography is never a barrier to timely medical attention.
They added that PARAS Health Srinagar will continue organising similar community outreach programmes across the region as part of its broader mission to strengthen preventive healthcare and enhance access to specialist medical services in far-flung areas. (JKNS)
