Anantnag, July 23 (JKNS): The BJP Kokernag Unit on Thursday organised a candlelight march to pay homage to Head Constable Ashiq Hussain, who was martyred in the recent terrorist attack in Anantnag, and to express solidarity with his bereaved family.
The march witnessed participation from BJP leaders, party workers and local residents, who carried candles and paid tribute to the slain police personnel while condemning the terror attack.
Participants expressed grief over the martyrdom of the police constable and demanded strict action against those responsible for the attack.
They also reiterated their support for the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security forces in their efforts to maintain peace and stability in the Union Territory.
The candlelight march concluded with prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul and a collective pledge to remain united against terrorism and support the fight against anti-national elements. (JKNS)
