Srinagar, Aug 3 (JKNS): An intense spell of rain triggered flash flooding in Badrhama village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday, with floodwaters entering several houses and causing panic among residents.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the heavy rainfall led to a sudden surge of water, inundating residential areas and damaging property. However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or injuries.
Residents said the sudden flooding forced several families to rush to safer places as water rapidly entered their homes.
Meanwhile, local authorities and rescue teams have reached the affected area to assess the damage and monitor the situation.
