Beerwah, Aug 9 (JKNS): The All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association organised a full-day programme of Marsiya, Majlis-e-Aza and a mourning procession at Nussu, Beerwah, to commemorate the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and the enduring message of Karbala.

Addressing the gathering, President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Shia Association, Molvi Imran Reza Ansari, spoke in detail about the historical circumstances surrounding the tragedy of Karbala and the struggle between truth and oppression.

He highlighted the role of the Bani Umayyah and the sequence of events that ultimately culminated in the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions.

Molvi Imran Ansari particularly highlighted the unparalleled role of Bibi Zainab (SA) during and after Karbala. He spoke about her courage, patience and resilience in protecting the family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), especially Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS), who was seriously ill and unable to participate in the battle.

He emphasised that Bibi Zainab (SA) carried forward the message of Karbala with extraordinary courage and ensured that the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions reached generations to come.

During the programme, special prayers were offered for peace and security in Iran and Palestine, as well as for the families of those who lost their lives in the recent conflict in Iran. Prayers were also offered for all victims of oppression and conflict, with participants calling for peace, justice and the protection of innocent lives.

The programme concluded with a mourning procession, in which a large number of devotees participated and paid tribute to the martyrs of Karbala.

The gathering reaffirmed the enduring message of Imam Hussain (AS) to stand for truth, justice, dignity and resistance against oppression. (JKNS)
