Awantipora, Aug 10 (JKNS): Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Dar Awantipora, Rafiq Ahmed, along with two Police Security Officers (PSOs), was injured after their escort vehicle met with an accident near Zahrayat Sharief in Awantipora on Monday, officials said.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that the Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK13E-0377, being used as the escort vehicle of DySP Dar Awantipora, met with the accident after its tyre burst, causing the vehicle to roll down.
The injured police personnel have been identified as DySP DAR Awantipora Rafiq Ahmed and two PSOs, SGCT Amir Ahmad and Riyaz Ahmad.
All three injured personnel were initially shifted to PHC Awantipora for medical treatment, from where they were referred to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for further treatment.
