Anantnag, Aug 11 (JKNS): A 20-year-old motorcyclist died after his motorcycle collided with an Ignis vehicle near Stone Quarry, Badoora, in the Achabal area of Anantnag, officials said.

Officials told news agency JKNS that an accident involved motorcycle bearing registration number JK03F-9746 and Ignis vehicle bearing registration number JK01AB-5445.

The motorcycle rider, identified as Rayees Ahmad Gadda, son of Shabir Ahmad Gadda, resident of Dangpora, Marhama, Bijbehara, sustained serious injuries in the accident and was shifted to SDH Achabal for medical treatment.

However, the injured rider later succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead.

Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation initiated. (JKNS)
