Srinagar, Aug 11 (JKNS): The CRPF Srinagar Sector on Tuesday concluded its Inter-Battalion Cricket Tournament, organised by the 54th Battalion, with 24 teams participating and showcasing sportsmanship, discipline and athletic talent.
As per news agency JKNS, A total of 24 teams from the Srinagar Sector participated in this tournament, with players displaying outstanding sportsmanship, discipline, and athletic talent Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest.
Ravi Prakash, Commandant of the 54th Battalion, CRPF, along with senior officers, jawans, and other dignitaries, was also present on the occasion.
The final match of the tournament was played between GC Srinagar and the 35th Battalion.
Delivering a spectacular performance, the GC Srinagar team clinched the winner’s title, while the 35th Battalion finished as the runner-up.During the closing ceremony, the Chief Guest honored the winner and runner-up teams by presenting them with trophies and medals.
On this occasion, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the players for their excellent performance and sportsmanship, while also praising the organization of the event.Shri Ravi Prakash, Commandant of the 54th Battalion, congratulated all the participating teams and players.
