Budgam, Aug 17 (JKNS): The 62 Rashtriya Rifles (62 RR) of the Indian Army organised a free medical camp at Humchipora village in the Khag area of Budgam district with the objective of providing basic and quality healthcare services to people living in remote rural areas.

Around 500 residents from Humchipora and adjoining villages attended the camp and benefited from free medical check-ups, medicines, consultations, and essential healthcare services.

During the camp, experienced Army doctors and medical staff examined patients suffering from various ailments, prescribed medicines, and provided valuable guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A large number of elderly people, women, and children availed themselves of the services, describing the initiative as timely and beneficial.

Local residents appreciated the Indian Army’s humanitarian effort, stating that such free medical camps are of immense value in remote areas where access to healthcare facilities is often limited. They noted that the initiative not only provided much-needed medical assistance but also strengthened mutual trust, cooperation, and cordial relations between the Army and the local community.

The people expressed their gratitude to the 62 Rashtriya Rifles and the medical team for organising the camp and hoped that similar public welfare and healthcare initiatives would continue in the future, enabling more people to benefit from quality medical services. (JKNS)
