Karnah, Aug 28 (JKNS): In a heartwarming celebration of Raksha Bandhan, girls from Tangdhar in Karnah, a frontier border area along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, tied Rakhis to Army personnel, reaffirming the bond of trust, affection and camaraderie between the armed forces and the local community.
The celebration brought together local girls and Army personnel in an atmosphere of warmth and mutual respect.
The girls expressed their gratitude towards the soldiers for their service and protection, while the Army personnel conveyed their best wishes to the participants on the festive occasion.
As part of the celebration, the girls were also presented with stationery and educational-use items as a gesture of encouragement towards education.
The initiative aimed to motivate young students to continue their studies and pursue their aspirations.
The Raksha Bandhan celebration highlighted the strong people-to-Army connect in Karnah’s frontier region, where the armed forces and local residents share a relationship built on mutual respect, cooperation and community spirit.
The occasion once again reflected how festivals and community interactions serve as a bridge between the Army and people living in remote border areas, strengthening the spirit of unity and togetherness. (JKNS)
