Sep 02: The Youth Services & Sports Department accorded a warm farewell to Financial Advisor/Chief Accounts Officer, Sh. Jaswinder Pal Singh, on the occasion of his transfer from the Department, in recognition of his services and contribution during his tenure.

The Commissioner/Secretary, Youth Services & Sports Department, expressed high appreciation for the officer’s efficiency, professionalism and dedicated approach towards his responsibilities, particularly in handling financial matters and other important assignments entrusted to him. The Commissioner appreciated his ability to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure timely disposal of matters relating to the Department.

During his tenure, particular emphasis was laid on effective budget management, financial discipline, timely release and utilisation of funds, monitoring of expenditure, and coordination with the Finance Department on various financial and developmental initiatives of the Department. His contribution towards streamlining financial procedures and facilitating the implementation of major departmental programmes was also appreciated.

The function was attended by all officers and officials of the Department, including the Director General, Special Secretary, Secretary J&K Sports Council, Financial Advisor, Additional Secretaries and other senior officers. All officers were appreciative of the professional approach, commitment to work and constructive coordination with the administrative and field formations of the Department. They expressed appreciation for the support extended by him in dealing with financial and budgetary matters and in ensuring adherence to financial rules and procedures.

The Commissioner/Secretary and other senior officers wished him success and fulfilment in his new assignment, expressing confidence that his experience and professional expertise would continue to contribute meaningfully to public administration.
