Jammu, Sept 3 (JKNS): A suspected Pakistani intruder was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) along the Jammu International Border in the Kanachak sector on Thursday morning, officials said.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that, personnel of 44 BSF Battalion apprehended the individual in the morning hours, in the area of Border Out Post (BOP) Sohan under Sector Kanachak.
The apprehended person has been identified in preliminary reports as Nazir Sadhir, aged around 40–45 years, son of Late Mohammad Nazir and a resident of Luni village in Sialkot district of Pakistan.
Following the apprehension, the individual was taken into BSF custody. The concerned Deputy Inspector General (DIG) also reached the spot and took stock of the situation, officials said.
The BSF is questioning the apprehended person to ascertain his identity, the circumstances and purpose of his entry, and other relevant details.
