Anantnag, Sept 3 (JKNS): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone Sujit Kumar on Thursday visited Anantnag and chaired a high-level security and crime review meeting at the District Police Office, taking stock of the prevailing security situation, crime trends, investigations and ongoing police operations in the district.
IGP Kumar as per news agency JKNS, visited District Anantnag and chaired a security and crime review meeting at District Police Office (DPO) Anantnag.
During the meeting, the IGP Kashmir reviewed the overall security situation and crime scenario in the district. He took a detailed assessment of security arrangements, crime prevention measures, investigation of cases and ongoing police operations.
The IGP emphasized strengthening the security grid, maintaining close coordination among field formations and ensuring timely and effective action against criminal and anti-social elements. He also stressed upon enhancing preventive measures and maintaining heightened vigilance to ensure peace and security in the district.
The senior officers briefed the IGP Kashmir about the prevailing security and crime situation and the measures being undertaken to further strengthen policing and public safety.
The meeting was attended by DIG South Kashmir Range Javid Iqbal Matoo-IPS, SSP Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure-IPS, and other senior officers of District Anantnag. (JKNS)
