Budgam, September 7: A grand day-long religious and educational conference was organised by Tanzeemul Makatib at Malmooh, Magam, with the participation of a large number of students, religious scholars, teachers, intellectuals, religious personalities and prominent members of the local community. The conference commenced at 10 a.m. and was presided over by All India General Secretary of Tanzeemul Makatib, Maulana Syed Safi Haider.
Students affiliated with various Maktabs of Zone Magam participated enthusiastically in the conference and demonstrated their religious knowledge, academic abilities and educational skills through various presentations and programmes. The students delivered speeches on different religious topics, presented Naat recitations and participated in various educational activities, earning appreciation and encouragement from the participants.
Scholars, intellectuals and religious and social personalities from different parts of Kashmir as well as other parts of the country attended the conference. Among those present were Syed Sabih-ul-Hussain, Maulana Syed Naqi Askari, Maulana Shaukat Mehdi, Maulana Bilal Ali Dar, Hussain Hamid, Nazim Secretary Kashmir, Syed Ejaz, Zone Magam, and other prominent personalities. The participation of religious scholars and Islamic personalities from Lucknow and various states of the country gave the conference a broader national character.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers emphasised the need to provide children with both religious and modern education in the present era. They said that quality education, coupled with moral upbringing, is essential for developing a responsible, aware and well-rounded generation. The speakers urged parents to pay special attention to the education, upbringing, character building and overall development of their children so that the younger generation grows up with strong moral values, religious awareness and a sense of social responsibility.
A special poetry session was also organised during the conference, in which renowned poets Mayil Chandozvi, Farhat Saharanpuri and Naseer Azmi presented their poetry. The session added a literary, cultural and intellectual dimension to the conference and was highly appreciated by the audience.
The conference aimed to provide students with an effective platform to showcase their religious and educational abilities. The enthusiastic participation of students from various Maktabs highlighted the efforts of Tanzeemul Makatib towards promoting religious, moral and educational awareness among the younger generation.
At the conclusion of the event, certificates were distributed among students who demonstrated outstanding performance, and they were encouraged for their achievements.
In his concluding remarks and vote of thanks, Hussain Hamid, Nazim Secretary Kashmir, expressed gratitude to all the participants, religious scholars, teachers, parents and volunteers. He also extended special thanks to the district administration, Police Department, Jal Shakti Department, Health and Medical Department, and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL/PDD) for their cooperation in making the conference a success.
The conference concluded with a commitment to continue collective efforts towards further strengthening religious, moral, educational and social values among the younger generation.
