Bandipora: Khalid Rafiq Bhat today submitted his nomination form for the post of General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem (RET) Teachers Forum before the election body at Town Hall Hajin, Bandipora.
The J&K RET Teachers Forum is one of the largest organisations representing Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers across Jammu & Kashmir. Khalid Rafiq Butt has played a key role in strengthening the forum and has consistently raised issues concerning the rights, welfare and legitimate demands of teachers.
After submitting his nomination, Bhat told the media that a few days ago, discussions were held regarding the need for unity among RET teachers and that the nomination submitted today is part of the same effort to bring the forum together on a common platform.
He said that the forum has always remained committed to highlighting teachers’ issues and has been engaging with the government and concerned institutions from time to time to seek solutions to their genuine concerns and promote their welfare.
He further informed that the final announcement regarding the election results and the office-bearers of the forum is expected to be made on September 20.
