Banihal, Sept 8 (JKNS): An unidentified body was found in the Chamalwas area of Banihal in Ramban district on Tuesday, officials said.

An official told news agency JKNS that, the body was recovered from the area and shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where it has been kept in the mortuary for identification.

The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately, the official said.

Police have initiated necessary proceedings and further investigation has been taken up to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death. (JKNS)
