Bandipora, Spet 12 (JKNS): Search operation to retrieve the body of 13-year-old Momin Ahmad, who drowned in the Madhumati Nallah in Bandipora on Thursday evening, entered its third consecutive day on Saturday.
Momin Ahmad, a resident of Ganai Mohalla, Kaloosa, Bandipora, drowned in the Madhumati Nallah on Thursday evening. Following the incident, a joint search and rescue operation was launched to trace and retrieve his body.
The operation is being jointly carried out by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire and Emergency Services, and the District Administration Bandipora.
Local volunteers are also actively participating in the search operation and extending assistance to the rescue teams. Despite continuous efforts, the body of the 13-year-old boy has not yet been recovered.
The search operation continued on Saturday and has now entered its third day, with the concerned teams and volunteers making sustained efforts to locate and retrieve the body from the Madhumati Nallah. (JKNS)
