Srinagar, Sept 14 (JKNS): 132 Bn CRPF, Sanatnagar, Srinagar, under the aegis of Srinagar Sector, is organising a Volleyball Tournament under the Civic Action Programme 2025-26 in the J&K Region at the Volleyball Court, 132 Bn Nedous Hotel, from September 14 to 16.

A total of eight teams are participating in the tournament, which is being conducted on a knockout basis.

The tournament was formally inaugurated on September 14 by Shri W. R. Josuah, Commandant, 132 Bn CRPF, as the Chief Guest in the presence of officers and personnel of 132 Bn CRPF, teams, players and inhabitants of M.A. Road, Srinagar.

The inaugural match was played between Syedpora Smashers and Court Crushers, in which Syedpora Smashers emerged victorious.

Shri W. R. Josuah, Commandant, 132 Bn CRPF, delivered the keynote address and stated that the aim of the tournament is to motivate the younger generation, provide a platform for emerging players and strengthen engagement with the local youth of Srinagar.

Volleyball dresses were also handed over to all the players of the eight participating teams.

The tournament carries the following prizes:

Winner: Rs. 10,000/- + Trophy + Certificates

Runner-up: Rs. 7,000/- + Trophy + Certificates

Best Player: Rs. 1,500/- + Trophy + Certificate. (JKNS)
