Sept 15: A one-day Dementia-Screening-cumMedical Camp under the National Action Plan for Senior Citizens was organised by the Tehsil Social Welfare Office, Dangiwacha Rafiabad, for senior citizens of the Rafiabad area.

The programme witnessed the participation of hundreds of senior citizens, including a significant number of women, who availed themselves of various healthcare services provided during the camp.

As part of the initiative, beneficiaries were provided free medical check-ups, dementia screening, medical counselling, expert consultations and medicines.

The camp aimed to facilitate accessible healthcare services for senior citizens and create greater awareness regarding dementia and other age-related health concerns.

A team of doctors and paramedical staff from SDH Dangiwacha, Rafiabad, provided medical assistance and consultations to the participating senior citizens during the programme.

The beneficiaries appreciated the efforts of the Department of Social Welfare, Baramulla, and expressed gratitude to Tehsil Social Welfare Officer Rafiabad Shri Bharat Bhushan and other staff members for organising the camp.

The senior citizens also lauded the doctors and paramedical staff of SDH Dangiwacha for their dedicated services and for providing free healthcare consultations and medicines during the camp.

The programme was organised as part of the department’s efforts to strengthen healthcare support and welfare services for senior citizens under the National Action Plan for Senior Citizens.
