Bandipora, September 17: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday conducted its organisational election for the Sonawari Zone in Bandipora district, with Mohammad Tahir Qadri being re-elected as the Zonal President unopposed.
The election was conducted under the supervision of G.M. Shahoori, PDP District President Pulwama, who served as the Returning Officer for the process. PDP has been undertaking organisational activities to strengthen its grassroots structure across Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking to the media after his re-election, Mohammad Tahir Qadri expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership and party workers for reposing faith in him. He thanked the party for entrusting him with the responsibility once again and appreciated the confidence shown in his work.
Qadri said he would continue working to strengthen the party organisation at the grassroots level and remain connected with party workers and the people of the Sonawari area.
PDP spokesperson Syed Tajamul Islam and G.M. Shahoori also spoke about the ongoing organisational exercise, stating that similar organisational elections would be held in Sonawari, Bandipora and the Gurez constituency as part of the party’s organisational process.
