Srinagar, Sept 20 (JKNS): The Sidhi Vinayak Ganesh Mandir Prabhandhak Samiti today organised the traditional Ganesh Visarjan Programme at Shri Sidhi Vinayak Ganesh Mandir, Ganpatyaar, Srinagar, with deep devotion, religious fervour and profound reverence for Bhagwan Shri Ganesh.

The sacred tradition has been observed for several years through the initiative of the Managing Committee of the Samiti, with the continued support of Punit Balan, Chairman, Punit Balan Group, who is also associated with the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust, Pune.

The Samiti expressed its sincere gratitude for his continued support and association in preserving this cherished religious tradition in Srinagar.

As part of the celebrations, a traditional Shobha Yatra was taken out from Shri Sidhi Vinayak Ganesh Mandir, Ganpatyaar. The procession passed through Badiyaar, Gund Ahlimar and Nai Sadak towards Somyaar Shiv Mandir, Habba Kadal, before returning through Kharyaar to Shri Sidhi Vinayak Ganesh Mandir and proceeding towards Shri Ganesh Ghat.

The sacred idol of Bhagwan Shri Ganesh was subsequently immersed in the holy waters of Vitasta at Shri Ganesh Ghat, amidst devotional chants, prayers and an atmosphere of deep faith and spiritual devotion. The Visarjan marked the culmination of the festivities and symbolised devotion, gratitude and surrender before the Divine.

Similar Visarjan processions were also taken out at other locations in the Valley. In Vessu, Kulgam, devotees from the Kashmiri Pandit Colony participated in a procession to the Sangam River for the immersion of the idol. At Indira Nagar, Srinagar, devotees took out a procession towards the Vitasta at Shurayar Temple Ghat for the Visarjan.

Members of the community participated in the celebrations with enthusiasm and devotion. The gatherings reflected the enduring faith of devotees and their collective commitment to preserving and carrying forward the sacred traditions associated with Shri Sidhi Vinayak Ganesh Mandir and Ganpatyaar.

The Samiti expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all devotees, community members, well-wishers, volunteers and everyone who contributed to the peaceful and successful conduct of the celebrations.

May the blessings of Vighnaharta Shri Ganesh continue to illuminate every heart, remove all obstacles and bring peace, prosperity and harmony to all. Ganpati Bappa Morya! (JKNS)
