Srinagar, Sep 20 (JKNS): Zainab Zaman Wani won a bronze medal, while Wani Areena secured a silver medal at the 10th J&K UT-Level Soft Tennis Championship 2026-27, held from September 17 to 19.
The championship was organised by the J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association under the banner of the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India, recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
Mr Mubashir Ahmad of the Islamic University attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Mr Dilbagh Singh, Manager of Gindun Stadium, was the Guest of Honour.
Dr Gh. Hassan, a founding member of the association, was also present on the occasion.
Participants from different districts appreciated the arrangements made by the organising association for the championship. (JKNS)
