“Scrap Vehicles Aged 25 Years Or Face FIR”: Transport Commissioner Warns Commercial Vehicle Owners

Srinagar, Oct 1 (JKNS): Transport Commissioner J&K Vishesh Paul Mahajan has urged owners of commercial vehicles that have completed 25 years of age to scrap them, warning of action if such vehicles are found plying on roads.

In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, Mahajan said, “Request all Commercial Vehicle owners to scrap the vehicles which have attained the age of 25 years as today.”

“We have written to field offices to seize and lodge FIRs in case they are found moving on the roads. We are concerned about commuter safety,” he added. (JKNS)
