Two-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling Into Water Tub At Home In Kupwara

Kupwara, Oct 1 (JKNS): A two-year-old boy died after accidentally falling into a water tub at his home in Qalamabad area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.

An official told news agency JKNS that the child had accidentally fallen into the water tub at his home and was subsequently shifted to NTPHC Qalamabad for treatment.

The official said the child had been undergoing treatment since Wednesday but succumbed to his condition on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Shahnaz Shafat, son of Shafat Ahmad Reshi, a resident of Qalamabad.

Meanwhile, cognizance of the incident has been taken, and a probe is underway, officials said. (JKNS)
