Kashmir Jurists Bar Association Delegation Meets Hon’ble Chief Justice of High Court of J&K and Ladakh

Srinagar, Oct 6 (JKNS): A delegation of the Kashmir Jurists Bar Association (KJBA) on Tuesday called upon the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Hon’ble Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhatia, and extended a warm welcome and best wishes on his assumption of office.

The delegation was headed by Adv. Altaf Ganderbali, President, KJBA, and accompanied by Adv. Tajamul Choudhary, Chief Coordinator, KJBA, along with Sr. Adv. Ahmad Javid, Sr. Adv. Ehsan-ul-Haq, Adv. Hilal Noorani, Adv. Sibgat Tabasum, Adv. S.M. Saleem, Adv. Waseem Ramzan Lone, Adv. Saima, Adv. Nighat, Adv. Shagufta, Adv. Hamid, Adv. Ishtiyaq, Adv. Mohd. Shahnawaz and other members of the Bar.

During the meeting, the KJBA delegation discussed matters concerning the welfare and professional interests of advocates, strengthening the justice-delivery system, and the need for speedy disposal of cases and timely delivery of justice.

The delegation expressed its hope that under the able leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, the High Court and subordinate judiciary would continue to work towards ensuring efficient, accessible and timely justice, while also addressing genuine concerns relating to the welfare and working conditions of members of the Bar.

The KJBA assured the Hon’ble Chief Justice of its continued cooperation and constructive support in further strengthening the rule of law, judicial administration and the legal fraternity. (JKNS)
