Srinagar, October 11 (JKNS): A woman died after jumping from a three-storey building while trying to escape a fire that broke out at Noor Bagh Chowk’s Jehangir Mohalla in Srinagar on Sunday.
An official told news agency JKNS that, The deceased has been identified as Haleema Sheikh, wife of Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh. She had sustained severe injuries after jumping from the building and later succumbed to her injuries.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel and police rushed to the spot and initiated efforts to control the blaze.
The exact cause of the fire was not known immediately. (JKNS)
