Karnah, April 20(JKNS): In a significant step towards promoting digital entrepreneurship and self-reliance in remote areas, the Indian Army on Monday conducted an E-Commerce Awareness Workshop in Karnah under Operation Sadbhavna.

The workshop was aimed at equipping local residents with practical knowledge of emerging online business opportunities and digital platforms. During the session, participants were introduced to various aspects of e-commerce, including the registration of restaurants on popular food delivery applications, onboarding procedures for delivery personnel, and registration processes for bike-taxi and logistics service platforms.

A large number of people from different sections of society attended the programme, including local shopkeepers, trade union members, ex-servicemen, numberdars, and youth. Participants showed strong interest in adopting these digital platforms to enhance their income and expand their business outreach.

Officials from the Indian Army highlighted the growing importance of digital inclusion and encouraged attendees to explore entrepreneurship through online channels. Detailed guidance was provided on documentation, registration steps, and operational best practices to help individuals successfully integrate into these platforms.

Attendees appreciated the initiative, expressing optimism about the new opportunities it could unlock for employment and business growth in the region.

The workshop is part of the Army’s ongoing efforts under Operation Sadbhavna, which focuses on community development and strengthening civil-military relations in Jammu and Kashmir.(JKNS)
