Srinagar, May 4 (JKNS): The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday ordered a major reshuffle of judicial officers across the Union Territory in the interest of administration.
As per Order No. 651 of 2026/RG dated May 4, issued by the Office of the Registrar General, as per news agency JKNS, several key transfers and postings have been effected across courts and tribunals.
According to the order, Ms. Renu Degra, Principal Judge, Family Court Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as Presiding Officer, Fast Track Court (POCSO), Jammu against a vacant post. Ms. Mehreen Mushtaq, Additional Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption Srinagar, will take over as Principal Judge, Family Court Srinagar.
Shri Sandeep Gandotra, District Judge, Leave Reserve, High Court Wing Jammu, has been posted as Presiding Officer, Labour and Industrial Tribunal J&K on deputation basis, replacing Shri Manoj Parihar, who has been transferred and posted as One Man Forest Authority.
In the district judiciary, Shri Ahsan Ullah Parvez Malik, Principal District and Sessions Judge Poonch, has been transferred as Additional District and Sessions Judge Bandipora, while Shri Sushil Singh will take over as Principal District and Sessions Judge Poonch. Shri Mir Wajahat has been posted as Additional District and Sessions Judge Poonch.
Further, Ms. Tabasum, Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, has been transferred as Sub Judge, LRP, High Court Wing Srinagar, and Shri Touseef Ahmad Magrey has been posted as Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar.
The order also states that Shri Shafeeq Ahmad, Special Mobile Magistrate Poonch, and Ms. Asma Chowdhary, Secretary DLSA Samba, shall swap their postings.
Additionally, the charge of the court of Additional Sessions Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar has been assigned to the Special Judge Anti-Corruption Srinagar.
In another adjustment, Ms. Farah Bashir, Principal Magistrate JJB Ganderbal, has been relieved of the additional charge of JJB Bandipora, which has now been assigned to Shri Raja Arshad Hamid, Principal Magistrate JJB Srinagar, who will attend Bandipora as per a weekly roster.
The High Court has directed that officers on deputation shall report to the Registrar Judicial, while all transferee judges must complete pending judgments and properly hand over charge before assuming new assignments. (JKNS)
