Srinagar, May 6 (JKNS): Police Station Shergari on Wednesday attached the property of an accused involved in a narcotics case registered under the NDPS Act in Srinagar, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS, the action was taken against Adil Hamid Sheikh, son of Abdul Hamid Sheikh, resident of Shaheen Colony, Aloochibagh, who is involved in case FIR No. 48/2022 registered at Police Station Shergari under Sections 8/20/21 of the NDPS Act.
The attached property comprises 3.5 marlas of land falling under survey number 657 min.
Officials said the action is part of ongoing efforts to tighten the noose around drug traffickers and dismantle the financial assets generated through narcotics-related activities in Srinagar.
Earlier, two judicial officers were arrested in connection with drug case and officials further said that more arrests are likely in coming days in the case. (JKNS)
