250 Athletes Battle for Glory as District Anantnag Kudo Championship Concludes at Bijbehara

Anantnag, May 8 (JKNS): The two-day District Anantnag Kudo Championship 2026 concluded successfully at the Indoor Sports Hall Bijbehara, witnessing enthusiastic participation from hundreds of young athletes and sports lovers from across the district.

As per news agency JKNS, The prestigious two-day championship was held on 5th and 6th May 2026 at the Indoor Sports Hall Bijbehara. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 250 players representing different areas of the district, while more than 300 spectators attended the championship and cheered for the young athletes.

The championship aimed to promote the martial art of Kudo among the youth and provide a competitive platform for budding athletes to showcase their talent, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The event was graced by distinguished guests from different fields. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Bilal Ahmad Parray, Chairman-JKDF. The Guests of Honour included Hilal Ahmad Shah,Director-BOMIS, Anantnag, Nabeel Showkat, Chairman- Future X Coaching Center J&K, and Sarbaz Sajad, Chairman- District Budgam Kudo Association.

During the championship, several institutions showcased remarkable performances. BOMIS Anantnag secured the 1st position, while Oxford School Bijbehara achieved the 2nd position. in the overall championship standings.

The dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the organisers in conducting the championship successfully and praised the participants for their dedication and discipline. They also emphasised the importance of sports activities in guiding youth towards a healthy and positive lifestyle.

The organisers expressed gratitude to all officials, coaches, volunteers, participants, and supporters whose collective efforts made the championship a grand success. (JKNS)
