Centre Extends CBI Director Praveen Sood’s Tenure by One Year

New Delhi, May 13 (JKNS): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a one-year extension in the tenure of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Shri Praveen Sood, IPS, beyond May 24, 2026.

 

 

 

 

According to an official order issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), as per news agency JKNS, the extension has been granted based on the recommendations of the Selection Committee.

 

 

 

 

Praveen Sood, a 1986-batch IPS officer of Karnataka cadre, will now continue as Director of the CBI for a further period of one year beyond his existing tenure ending on May 24, 2026. (JKNS)
