Anantnag, May 18 (JKNS): Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag Amod Ashok Nagpure on Monday chaired a comprehensive crime and operations review meeting at District Police Office Anantnag to assess the prevailing crime situation, progress in investigations and overall law and order management in the district.

As per news agency JKNS, Nagpure-IPS chaired a crime review meeting at DPO Anantnag to review the crime situation and assess the progress of investigations and other crime-related matters in the district.

The meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Anantang Sunny Gupta-IPS, ASP North Camp Aishmuqam Rameez Raja, DySP Headquarters Anantnag, DySP DAR DPL Anantnag, all SDPOs, SHOs and In-Charges of Police Posts of District Anantnag.

At the outset the SSP felicitated SDPO Bijbehara, SHO Bijbehara and DO Sanagam for registering maximum number of cases under NDPS act and striking decisive blow to the economic assets of drug smugglers.

During the meeting, a detailed review of pending cases, investigation progress, execution of warrants, disposal of under-investigation cases, and action against habitual offenders was conducted. Discussions were also held regarding measures to improve the quality and timeliness of investigations and to ensure effective supervision at all levels.

SSP Anantnag directed all officers to expedite investigations in pending cases and ensure professional and lawful handling of all crime-related matters. He stressed the need for close monitoring of cases, enhanced coordination among investigating officers, and strict action against criminal elements.

SSP Anantnag also directed officers to prepare strong and legally sustainable cases in NDPS-related matters to ensure effective action against drug peddlers and traffickers.

The officers were also instructed to strengthen preventive measures, maintain proper crime records, and ensure prompt follow-up in sensitive cases.

Emphasizing accountability and professionalism, SSP Anantnag urged all officers to work with dedication and commitment for effective crime control and prompt delivery of justice. (JKNS)
