Samba, May 18 (JKNS): An old rusted mortar shell was found lying in an agricultural field near the International Border in Samba district on Monday.
Official sources told news agency JKNS that in the morning hours, a local farmer village falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal, noticed the rusted mortar shell in a field near BOP NSP Khora, manned by 82 Battalion BSF.
The farmer immediately informed the BSF authorities about the suspicious object, following which BSF personnel rushed to the spot and took the shell into possession for further necessary action.
