New Delhi, May 19 (JKNS): Petrol and diesel prices were increased again on Tuesday by up to 90 paise per litre across the country, marking the second hike in fuel rates within less than a week.
According to the sources, as per news agency JKNS, petrol prices in the national capital Delhi rose from ₹97.77 per litre to ₹98.64 per litre, while diesel prices increased from ₹90.67 per litre to ₹91.58 per litre.
The latest revision comes days after fuel prices were increased by ₹3 per litre on Friday.
In Mumbai, petrol prices increased by 91 paise to ₹107.59 per litre, while diesel prices rose by 94 paise to ₹94.08 per litre.
Kolkata recorded the sharpest rise in petrol prices, with rates going up by 96 paise to ₹109.70 per litre. Diesel prices in the city increased by 94 paise to ₹96.07 per litre.
In Chennai, petrol prices rose by 82 paise to ₹104.49 per litre, while diesel prices increased by 86 paise to ₹96.11 per litre.
The fresh hike in fuel prices is expected to impact transportation costs and overall market prices across sectors. (JKNS)
