Emotional Farewell Accorded to Veteran Education Officer in Narbal

Budgam, May 21 (JKNS): A grand and dignified farewell Program was organized on Thursday in honour of Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Narbal, Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Dar, on the occasion of his retirement from active service. The event was held in recognition of his long, dedicated, and commendable contributions to the field of education, where he played a significant role.

 

 

 

 

The Program was organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum, Zone Narbal, at PM Shri Government Boys’ Middle School Mazhama, Budgam. A large gathering of teachers, education officials, students, and dignitaries attended the event and paid rich tributes to Mr. Dar for his outstanding services.

 

 

 

 

The programme began with a warm by students, setting a memorable and vibrant tone for the occasion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speakers highlighted Mr. Dar’s tireless efforts, integrity, and leadership qualities. They appreciated his role in strengthening the education system, improving academic standards, and guiding teachers effectively.

 

 

 

 

Chairman of the Teachers Forum, Mr. M. Shafi Rather, Provincial President Mr. Javed Bhat, and Zonal President Mr. Muneer Ahmad Lone also addressed the gathering. They described Mr. Dar as a sincere educationist and stated that his dedication and contributions would always be remembered. They acknowledged the positive changes he brought wherever he served.

 

 

 

 

In his address, Mr. Muneer Ahmad Lone said that under the leadership of Ghulam Mustafa Dar, the education system in Zone Narbal witnessed a new direction and growth. Other speakers also termed him an excellent administrator, mentor, and a guiding force for teachers.

 

 

 

 

On the occasion, noted educationist Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Dar (GM) said that a teacher always plays a guiding role in society. He added that Ghulam Mustafa Dar has been an honest, dedicated, and dutiful officer who significantly strengthened the education sector through his services.

 

 

 

 

In his farewell speech, Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Dar expressed gratitude to his colleagues, teachers, and the public for their continuous support. Sharing his professional experiences, he advised teachers to perform their duties with honesty, dedication, and sincerity.

 

 

 

 

Educationist Mr. Manjeet Singh Gill also addressed the gathering and reiterated that a teacher always remains a guide for society. He praised Mr. Dar as a sincere and committed officer who played a vital role in strengthening the education system.

 

 

 

 

Emotional scenes were witnessed during the event as teachers and staff bid farewell to their beloved officer. Many expressed that his leadership and guidance would be deeply missed.

 

 

 

 

On this occasion, an important initiative was also taken to combat drug abuse. A group of conscious educators from Budgam district, led by Dr. Nazir Shahid (Headmaster, PM Shri Boys’ Middle School Mazhama) and Dr. Bashir Athar Khanpuri, unveiled the bylaws of the “SN Counselling Mission Jammu & Kashmir.” The organization has been working for the past nine years towards social reform and raising awareness against drug abuse.

 

 

 

 

In the end, Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Dar was honoured with awards and mementos, and prayers were offered for his healthy, happy, and peaceful retired life. Upon reaching his home, he was warmly and emotionally received by his family members.

 

 

 

 

The event concluded with a meaningful message:

 

“A teacher always remains a guide and a beacon of light.” (JKNS)
