According to revised fuel prices, as per news agency JKNS, petrol in Delhi has been increased by 87 paise per litre, taking the rate from Rs 98.64 to Rs 99.51 per litre. Diesel prices have gone up by 91 paise, rising from Rs 91.58 to Rs 92.49 per litre.
The latest revision comes after state-owned oil marketing companies resumed passing on the impact of rising international energy prices to consumers from May 15 onwards.
Officials said the increase in fuel prices is linked to elevated crude oil and energy costs in the global market following the ongoing conflict and tensions in West Asia.
This is the third fuel price hike announced within a span of less than 10 days. (JKNS)
