Srinagar, May 24 (JKNS): A 12-year-old girl who had gone missing from Galwanpora village of central Kashmir’s Budgam district was found dead near her residence on Sunday morning, officials said.
Officials told news agency JKNS that the girl, identified as, a resident of Galwanpora, had been missing since Saturday.
Following her disappearance, a search operation was launched by locals and authorities in the area.
They said that early Sunday morning, the body of the minor girl was recovered at a short distance from her residence, triggering shock and grief in the locality.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated investigation into the matter. (JKNS)
