Srinagar, May 24 (JKNS): The Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a detailed traffic advisory ahead of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha-led mega padyatra being organised in Bandipora town on May 25 under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.”
According to the advisory issued by the office of Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic Rural Kashmir, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, vehicular movement from Aloosa Bridge Bandipora to Nasoo Bus Stand Crossing Bandipora shall remain completely suspended from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM on May 25 in view of the mega rally and padyatra.
The advisory further stated that during the event, Srinagar, Sopore and Baramulla-bound traffic coming from Gurez shall be diverted at Sonarwani Bridge via Wangam–Koil Muqam–Srinagar route and vice versa.
Traffic authorities also informed that movement of vehicles along the Ganderbal-Bandipora road via Pandach, T-Chowk, Barsoo, Ajas and Bandipora is likely to remain affected during the scheduled period of the event.
The Traffic Police have advised motorists and commuters to avoid unnecessary travel towards Bandipora town and adjoining routes on May 25 till culmination of the padyatra. (JKNS)
